| COACHING EDUCATOR |
| A vacancy has arisen in the Amateur Cricket Department of Gauteng Cricket Board for the position of Amateur Cricket Manager.. |

| JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES |
| A. Knowledge & Experience |
- Plan and implement all amateur cricket related activities relating to the following :
- KFC Mini Cricket coaching
- Youth & Development Cricket coaching
- Women’s & Girls Cricket coaching
- National Tournaments representative coaches allocations
|
- Budget Planning and Control
- Coaching and Consulting
- Usage of computers and related software.
- Public relations and service levels.
- Negotiating skills with various services providers and stake holders for Amateur Cricket
- Coaching and latest development in our field
- Vaal Country Districts structures
- Coaching and latest development in/out field
- Union Constitution and policies
- Latest trends in the game of cricket

| B. Key Performance Areas |
1. Administration of coaching courses and association
1.1 The following courses must be arranged, including invitations, course material, presenters, registration, time, venue, etc.
- Mini cricket and orientation courses;
- Level 1 and 2 : Schools, clubs, academies and registered members of the Coaches’ Association;
- Level 3: As per CSA invitation.

| 1.2 The coaches’ library is maintained: Necessary finance required. |
| 1.3 Attend CSA coaches’ management meetings. |
| 1.4 Marking of examination papers. |
| 1.5 Distribution of coaching certificates, information and resources. |
| 1.6 Update database of successful candidates. |
| 1.7 Update database of successful candidates. |
| 1.8 Provide secretarial support and ensure that the Coaches’ Association activities are functional |
| 1.9 Arrange refresher courses and coaches’ forum. |
| 1.10 Compiling a quarterly Coaches’ newsletter. |
| 1.11 Enhancing communication channels and coaching structures. |
| 2. Coaching education |
| 2.1 Assist in setting up sound coaching structures (areas, schools and clubs). |
| 2.2 Identify and fast track previously disadvantaged individuals (players, coaches and administrators). |
| 2.3 Sourcing of new information and material to better our coaching structures. |
| 3. Provide coaching support |
| 3.1 Assist coaches of provincial teams with programmes, professional services, coaching and fitness evaluations. |
| 3.2 Assist with High Performance programme. |
| 4. KFC coaching |
| 4.1 Administer coaching process. |
| 4.2 Prepare timetable of activities. |
| 4.3 Support KFC co-ordinator in providing coaching in the KFC programme. |
| 5.Schools’ Provincial Cricket |
| 5.1 Assist with trial process and selection process (coaches and players). |
| 5.2 Set up elite programme structure to enhance performance. |
| 5.3 Give guidance to the respective age group coaches within talent acceleration programme. |
| 5.4 Attend and be present at all provincial and national schools’ camps. |
| 6. Amateur Academy |
| Oversee all coaching aspects of the amateur academy and make recommendations and monitor such. |
| 7. Appointment of amateur and development coaches |
| 7.1 Assist in the appointment process of all Development, Schools and Cricket Weeks GCB coaches. |
| 7.2 Attend to all annual refresher courses and up-skill coaching courses for all GCB amateur and development coaches. |
