Bidvest Wanderers lauded by fans as "a stadium for all”
Fans have expressed their utmost love for the Bullring in response to a recent survey commissioned by the Bidvest Wanderers Stadium and conducted by Nielsen Sports.
The much-loved sport venue first embarked on a knowledge and scientifically informed strategic approach in 2015 when a stadium experience survey revealed what fans loved, disliked and wanted to be improved. The most recent online survey was as such an update on this study to measure the progress that has been made and the Bullring has much reason to celebrate as it receives extremely positive feedback from cricket going fans.
“We are encouraged that South Africans from all walks of life are emphatically proclaiming their love for spending time in the Bidvest Wanderers Stadium. At the Bullring, we believe that the fan-voice reigns supreme and as such, we prioritise listening to their feedback,” commented Greg Fredericks, Chief Executive Officer.
“At a time where entertainment options are vying for the attention of the fan, it is heartening to hear that respondents were extremely satisfied with stadium event features such as the atmosphere, overall value for money, safety and security – with over 80% of respondents rating themselves as satisfied to extremely satisfied. At a time where there are often low satisfaction levels amongst consumers, we could not have asked for a better result.”
"Bidvest Wanderers is to be commended for continuing to listen to and better understand their audience. Their application of the insights obtained over the years have ensured they remain an appealing, competitive and highly regarded sporting venue of choice," commented Ros Goldin, Managing Director of Nielsen Sports SA.
Fans took the time to share in their own words what they loved about the home of the 438-game:
“The atmosphere and vibes around, the mixed culture and embracing of all.”
“The atmosphere is always the best, there is no stadium like the Bidvest Wanderers. Always feels like home.”
“The diversity of the crowd, people socializing and walking everywhere. Best stadium experience ever”
“It's so vibrant! I love the different types of people that attend the cricket! One nation standing together”
One thing that is abundantly clear from the research is that being at the Bullring is not just about watching cricket; it’s an opportunity to meet new people from different backgrounds in an environment they love.
